“In prayer there is a connection between what God does and what you do. ” (Matthew 6:14)

Prayer is a lot like plumbing; it is a system through which we can all be refreshed and renewed.

We can come to God with our praises, hopes, fears and requests at any time and in any place.

The seventh chapter of Hebews tells us that Christ “always lives to intercede” for us. If we truly believe that, as Christians prayer must be a big part of our journey. Prayer is more than just stopping for directions.

We need to be willing to intercede for others, as Christ intercedes for us.

If you have prayer requests or praises, please e-mail them to the following address pontif35@comcast.net and we will post them as soon as we can.

Prayer requests for October 2007

As many of you know, massive wildfires are burning in southern California. Malibu Presbyterian, a great church that I’ve had the opportunity to attend, burned to the ground on Sunday. Please pray for their congregation as well as the thousands of people who have lost homes and those who still live in fear of losing homes.
